Storm Chase 1st October, 2004

High surface temps, plenty of moisture and decent wind shear led to the first supercells of the storm season. Activity started off late this day and the first storms developed after 3pm to the SW of me. It didn't take long for this to become supercellular with the strong lower level winds at different directions. Unfortunatlely I couldn't chase because I had no money for fuel on this day so I had to stay at Archerfield and watch this massively backsheared anvil.

The supercell passed through quite quickly and I waited to see what the cells to the west of me would do but they didn't do anything so I just took a few sunset pics.
