This day looked nice with plenty of moisture and heating available. The dryline was sitting around Ipswich so it was looking like things would probably develop just east of the ranges which is what happened. Development didn't start until the late afternoon due to the strong cap. The storm had a very crisp anvil on it which was situated to the south of me.
At about 5pm, a small cell built up around Oakey just as the sun was setting and it quickly grew in size.
It didn't take long for the cell to get its act together and become a storm which was becoming nicely lit in the setting sun.
By about 6pm the storms anvil looked spectacular and was lit up a golden orange colour. The storm was just pumping out cg's left right and centre.
