Today was an interesting setup as activity didn't fire off until late during the afternoon. The 850 temps were quite warm and the 500's were pushing -5 degrees so hail was going to be unlikely. Shear was strong throughout all the levels so gust fronts and squall lines were not out of the question. Just after 8:30, an awesome squall line came through Brisbanes south western suburbs and weakened a bit before passing over Brisbane. It was the best light show I had seen in many years with cg's and crawlers going off every few seconds. Unfortunately most of the crawlers were directly above me and it was raining so I couldn't get any of those ones. I still got a few okish shots however a stupid fluro light behind me produced a terrible herringbone effect through most of my pictures. Here are some of the better ones anyway:
